At Chezanny, we love March, and here's why. It's the month to commemorate International Women's Day! To pay tribute to the "feminine soul" of home cooking, we spoke with Australian artist, certified chef, and pastry chef Clare Duncan, who started working in commercial kitchens at 14 and apprenticed at 15 with renowned chef Greg Malouf, to find answers to our questions: Does cooking have a gender? Is the soul of cooking feminine? We invite you to join our conversation on our Spotify and YouTube channels. Enjoy!

March is the month when Chezanny pays tribute to women's contributions to social transformation and the feminine spirit in pursuit of a more humane and just world. Around the world, family cooking is still predominantly done by women. You can see some indicators here. However, with so much content and hope, more and more men are getting involved in caregiving tasks that were previously primarily reserved for women. During our interview with Chef Clare Duncan, she shared her thoughts on gender in the kitchen.

The Power and Chemistry of Home Cooking

At Chezanny, we know that creating an exceptional menu is not just an act of love, but a thoughtful creation that requires knowledge, technique, and passion. Whether you want to know why homemade lasagna can be great for your brain, or why eating a sugary box of cereal can limit your child's brain development, we hope you enjoy this book as much as we do!
